WellBear’s Ikkei Okuma Delivers Expert M&A and Cross-Border M&A Guest Lecture at Tokyo Designplex Institute

2025-07-31

Ikkei Okuma, Co-Representative of WellBear Inc., served as a guest lecturer on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and cross-border M&A in the “UX/UI Studio – Business Architect Practical Course” at Tokyo Designplex Institute, a specialist school for nurturing designers and creators. From December 2024 to 2025, Ikkei taught three sessions in the course, delivering lectures on M&A fundamentals and practice, introducing examples of cross-border M&A, and conducting case-study exercises for the students.

Tokyo Designplex Institute is an educational institution that trains the next generation of designers, and the Business Architect Practical Course offers a hands-on curriculum that teaches skills and knowledge for verifying the feasibility of product development from a business perspective. An overview of M&A is also included as a course subject, and Mr. Okuma was responsible for that M&A-related class.
